If you drive to the site, we recommend parking at the Farm Workshop Parking Lot, then following the suggested route to Moth Garden along the gravel farm road and then along the mowed paths.
You can also park at Loyola House then follow the alternate route along the side of the orchard, turning onto a forest trail for a short time, then along the mowed paths. Note: This alternative route has religious imagery along parts of it.
If the parking lots are full there is overflow parking at Orchard Park.
Please only drive on designated roadways.
PUBLIC TRANSIT
Bus route 99, stopping at the Smart Centre brings you close to Ignatius Guelph. Walk from the Smart Centre along Highway 6 to the entrance, then follow the map.
More information and a full trail map can be found on the Ignatius Guelph Website.
ACCESS NOTES
Both walking routes are along wide, established paths. The recommended route has a rough gravel surface roadway and mowed field paths. The alternative route has mowed field paths and a short section of forest trail. Both routes have some uneven surfaces such as potholes and some moderately inclined sections. Both routes are under 1km.
From the mowed field path, Moth Garden is accessed via mulch paths. There is straw bale seating around the garden and an outhouse nearby.
We welcome access questions. Please contact Lisa and/or Christina via our Contact Page.
